:?: What is the following fraction reduced?
\(\dfrac{900}{1542}\)
\(900 \longrightarrow 100 * 9 \longrightarrow (10 * 10) * (3 * 3) \longrightarrow (5 * 2) * (5 * 2) * (3 * 3) \longrightarrow 5^{1} * 5^{1} * 2^{1} * 2^{1} * 3^{1} * 3^{1} \longrightarrow 5^{2} * 2^{2} * 3^{2}\)

\(1542 \longrightarrow 771 * 2 \longrightarrow (257 * 3) * 2 \longrightarrow 257^{1} * 3^{1} * 2^{1}\)
The lowest prime power/powers common to both numbers are:
\(2^{1}, 3^{1}\)

\(GCF = 2^{1} * 3^{1} \longrightarrow 2 * 3 = 6 \)
\(\dfrac{900 \div 6}{1542 \div 6} = \dfrac{150}{257}\)
