Reasons you should learn history?

Sadly many people are unaware of the history. They are unaware ofhis history if their own culture and country and this makes it seem like people are forgetting the history. So, do you believe that you should learn history and it should be made a compulsory subject in school?

I think a basic understanding is good and should be required and, sadly, I suspect students (in many nations) don't know basic history

That's true! I am 33 year old young man. However, I am still trying to learn various historical events that took place in the past. I think that we can learn various lessons from history and this is why history should be taught to students. In many schools, history is a compulsory subject.
