What do you think of the actor Christopher Walken's quote? We're born alone. We die alone. And in between, we spend our lives looking for connection.
Born Alone and then Dead Alone
I never liked those quotes. You are not born alone. You are surrounded by people and mother brought you to this world. You can not just appear out of nowhere.
As for the dying part, you can die alone, with nobody by your side, but it is questionable what do you mean by alone.

Yeah, definitely as a baby there's no pride and ego, and as we approach death, we also have none - as what we have obtained means nothing now.Nomad wrote: Tue Sep 29, 2026 6:37 am Christopher Walken's quote is profound but it is not unique. Hinduism and Buddhism both deeply address the concept of being "born alone and dying alone." Hinduism explores solitude of soul, where as Buddhism explores no-essence.
