Do you think that history is being manipulated?
I have noticed that many countries deliberately manioujate the history! The change historical events in their textbook and this means that students might be learning the wrong kind of history. This is quite unethical and distorting the fact is certainly a really bad thing. What do you think?
Well, some of it is a bit disturbing like how Abraham Lincoln was a racist.Gardener wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 7:32 pm I have noticed that many countries deliberately manioujate the history! I am not sure about Abraham Lincoln. However, I have noticed that the government plays a central role when it comes to creating syllabuses in schools. They can quite easily try to manipulate the history and teach students completely different things. This may also lead to brainwashing as well.Jason wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 12:45 pmWell, some of it is a bit disturbing like how Abraham Lincoln was a racist.Gardener wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 7:32 pm I have noticed that many countries deliberately manioujate the history! I think kids need to be left alone, but perhaps they are too young for complex ideas to sink in anyway.Gardener wrote: Thu Jan 15, 2026 1:21 pmI am not sure about Abraham Lincoln. Of course...
And it's nothing new.
Everytime a different party takes over (any country), they need you to believe their propaganda over the other party.
Changing the information of history is a good way of spreading misinformation and propagranda.
People are freaking out like it's a new thing. It's not.
