Probably bcs Germany was the strongest and did most damage.

The whole situation of "If this happened, this wouldn't have happened." is like with all kinds of things in life. The thing is, the British Empire was very powerful back then, so the war was inevitable as Germany gained strength, and it was obvious, for economic reasons, the US would join Britain.

I think if Germany had won world war first, someone like Hitler wouldn't have risen to the power. That's because winning a war means Germany would have control over a large territory and Germany would have a lot of things to gloat about.

At the time, Germany was challenging the UK, much like China is now challenging the US, and obviously this conflict was unavoidable and also the fallout (World War II).

But then again, France was challenging the US also and before Germany came on the scene, but the fallout didn't lead to some aftermath anything like World War II.
