Should it be joined, and to what degree? What are pros and cons of religion being part of the state?

No.

Keep it separated.

Joining it is just going to create another equivalent of a Salem Witch Trials sort of incident.

Let the people freely choose their religion but don't allow the government to support it.

Do you feel the current admin will support Christian nationalism, and to what degree? What might be the effects if implemented?

I don't think these two should be joined at all. Religion has its own dogmas and they are not always science friendly.

A church being subject to the state seems to increase church corruption.

But church stands untied to the state. They are separate today. Chatolic Church had insane influence on the state. Kings would tremble if the pope didn't like them. they had huge influence on the people and could easily start a revolution against the king.

In the US, joining religion and the state is NOT a good idea, but it's a backlash to the LGBTQ agenda among other things (broken families, troubled schools, over-tech society, violence etc.)

Note: I'm not sure how state religion, as opposed to private religion, can solve problems, or even if certain so-called problems are problems.

Indoctrination is the key. You cannot change an adult person unless he wants to be changed. But you can indoctrinate a child to accept some rules and moral values from young age. It's either religion or having to learn by yourself.

Well, it's a slippery slope. I mean, you don't want the kid to be evil, so you discourage selfish behavior.

Just because somebody do bad things it doesn't classify them as evil. Evil is a very strong word to be used for regular sins.
