If you are the omnipotent being, than you can indeed rewrite it or create it in a way that would work better. If in the Bible jesus tells his followers that if they believe they can move the mountain it will move. The faith is the key concept here. If we can use our thoughts to reshape reality. If humans can, so can God. It is a well known phenomena where people heal themselves through faith where they believe it will work (placebo effect).
It's not that simple as that. The prayers of the righteous are more powerful, and the using placebo as criticism is something I will do more research on, but it's definitely, again, not that simple.
