Death cannot be controlled or delayed. It will eventually come to you at its appropriate time. Since, you cannot delay it or control it, you must accept the fact that there will come a time when your loved ones will not be with you at some point in life. This is a bitter truth everyone should accept.

Stoicism has helped me a lot when it comes to dealing with emotions. Stoicism teaches you that you can control your response towards how people act towards you. If people are harsh towards you, then this isn't something you can control. However, you can control your response towards them. Sometimes many people choose to ignore what others think.

The Bible teaches this with "turn the other cheek" and other verses.

I must admit that stoicism does not offer the solution to all the problems. For example, if you are suffering from addiction, then stoicism may not fully help you to recover from addictions. But at least it can help you prepare mentally to combat addictions in the best way.
