I have a plan to learn Na'vi language in the future (from Avatar movie). There is a huge number of stuff out there to help you out and this is the good starting point: https://forum.learnnavi.org/beginners/( ... -here)-ii/

First of all, you need a lot of vocabulary and typical US courses, for example, teach that. But the next part is important : You need to practice the vocabulary by imagining different sentences, and you gotta do that a lot!

And as of now, I haven't learned enough vocabulary for this reinforcement yet. But it would be cool to do this while working at my job, because it's a very monotonous job for long hours.

I watched some guy who learned Japanese in 3 years and he said that his tactic was listening as much as possible anime, music, podcasts. I forgot what is the name of that method. It is the same way babies learn language and he consider it to be the best one. Sure, some people are more grammar focused and for them it makes it easier. When I watched Death Note in japanese, and then some other animes, I started hearing some words often and it made me understand with the help of subtitle what those words mean so I no longer needed to translate them. Sure, I studies grammar as well, to see the sentence structure and it is different from my native language.

I only know English. I would love to learn some Te reo Māori. That's the indigenous Eastern Polynesian language of the Māori people and an official language of New Zealand.
